David Brooks Oral History

Video directed by Graham Mason © Storm King Art Center, 2018

David Brooks's A Proverbial Machine in the Garden was the first Outlooks project at Storm King, and was installed for the 2013 season. In 2018, as part of the exhibition Indicators: Artists on Climate Change, Brooks created another work for Storm King, Permanent Field Observations, a series of 30 cast bronzes that will remain installed along the Moodna Creek Trail. In this interview, Brooks talks about how these projects relate to the Storm King landscape, and to the natural and constructed environment.
