Mark di Suvero, Lithographs, Drawings and Indoor Sculptures
May 14 – November 15, 2008
Mark di Suvero, Lithographs, Drawings and Indoor Sculptures includes twenty-one works by di Suvero dating from 1971 through 2003. The exhibition, which has been organized in honor of the artist's seventy-fifth birthday, includes rarely seen lithographs and drawings related to his signature large-scale works, as well as a selection of three sculptures, all installed in the Art Center's museum building. Dynamic in form and often bold in color, the striking prints and drawings reveal how the artist uses these mediums to probe, question, and reinvent form and structure, and how these innovations in turn affect his sculptural work.
